Show-stopping renovation and first floor extension of weatherboard home.
When Josephine and Andrew purchased their Spotswood home, they harboured ambitions to renovate it into a place that their young family could grow up in together. After accessing their options, they were particularly impressed with the BCT Group one-stop solution and engaged our services to work with them from concepts right through to completion of their forever home.
The BCT Group Design and Construction Teams maintained the front two bedrooms and transformed the old living area into a master suite complete with a gorgeous ensuite and walk-in robe. To connect with the ground floor extension, we demolished the original third bedroom’s wall exposing the natural brick fireplace which provides an eye-catching feature in the new open-plan kitchen, living and dining area.
The devil is in the detail downstairs with the stunning turned pine timber balustrade on the staircase, mixture of horizontal and diagonal laid herringbone tiles in each of the bathrooms and the large steel doors which open the kitchen up to the outdoors.
As part of the first-floor extension, upstairs we added a separate family living area, office space and powder room making it perfect for relaxed family living and working from home.
It was great to be able to bring Josephine and Andrew’s vision to life through this renovation and first-floor extension project.
